Nail Preferences.

As much as I enjoy polishing my nails, I must say some brands offer a few luxuries. Please understand I LOVE NAIL POLISH....however, I have my preferences.  One being wide bristled nail brushes.  It is easier to control, as well as sturdier. So I am protesting for wider brushes!  But really, I like the fact that it is quicker to polish my nails, more me time.
I like the fact that a few brands have polish with longevity.

Chip resistant, yes, I did use a base coat and top coat. It doesn't help much at all.  If only there could be the perfect chip-resistant polish that is easy to put on and easy to remove. There are brands that lasts a long time,  but take forever to remove.

Beyond those issues, I need a gas mask while polishing my nails.  Why so smelly? eh?

Well, enough of my ranting!

I will say what polishes that have in some way or another received my approval.
Thank you IPSY!  The January glam bag included the most beautiful nail polish formulated! This concoction was implemented by Formula X.  The color is Revved up!  I am revved up about it too.  This polish is festive, metallic, lively, and fun!  Revved up is a perfect blend of rose metallic and gold metallic polish with tiny sparkles and sheen. Gorgeous!  A definite plus in my book.  There is an issue, chipping. The color is so beautiful, I don't mind repainting it.

Nails Inc.
Grosvenor Crescent
Now, Nails Inc. is in a league by itself!  Number one for sure in my book.  This color I am beholding is not black as it appears.  It is a rich, smooth, shiny, sleek purple named Grosvenor Crescent!  Pushing everything I wrote about to the aside. It does have the Color, the shine, the bristled brush (a little wider) and it hadn't chipped in a week!  Typically, I never wear dark polish. I couldn't resist this once I tried it.  I felt like a hand model.  See for yourself.
Here is a swatch of the other colors
Both Zoya and Revlon polishes were great deep reds.  Decent polish colors, lasted without chipping a few days and were so close in color, formula I judged each as one.  I know wrong on all levels.  But the truth.

Overall, this year has been good thus far in the land of nail polishes.  Once, they adhere to the preferences, those polishes will fly off the shelves.

Quick Tip for Polishing your nails like a Pro:  Put petroleum jelly around your cuticles to prevent mistakes on your skin!

Recently, I have been on this nail polish kick.  I've been polishing my nails different colors just about every other day.  There are some pretty colors of nail polishes available at the local drugstore.  I preferably shop at Walgreens, since it is the closest to my home.  Just call me crazy in love with nail polish.  But, out of this small mountain, came 4 diamonds in the rough.

Between these two top polishes, Sally Hansen's has a slight edge, due to its ability to dry super quickly.  Sally Hansen's Blue Away literally, blew me away!Ok...maybe I am biased because my favorite color is blue (any blue color is fine with me).  Not only the color that fascinates me, but it within minutes of polishing your nails, you can be on your way to start the day, without worrying that you will smear your nails.  Pros: Dries quickly, pretty colors.  Con: tends to chip easily.

Next up is Sinful Colors Professionals Pink Forever #313.   This color brightens my day!  This color pink compliments my skin tone without looking outlandishly girly!  I would describe it as a sophisticated pink that has a little umph!  Pro: vibrant colors  Cons: slim applicator brush (minor, but I prefer the wide brushes like Sally Hansen's and doesn't dry quickly.

Now, as far as Nudes go, I LOVE elf's NUDE #3813-2.   I am not positive of the name of this polish besides Nude.   This Nude polish was included in a gift set with two other polishes that were nice, but not my fav. However, this Nude was the one Nude that actually gives me the Nude look, but with a little flavor to it!  Pros: Great basic Nude, shiny finish.  Cons: small bottle small applicator brush.

Milani must of known that I needed a romance in my life and they gave it to me!  A Golden Romance by Milani looks like melted gold glitter!  Perfecto!  Love it!  I usually wear it with nine of my fingernails/toenails painted another color, and reserve that one nail for Milani's Golden Romance to let it POP!  Pro: glitter looks metallic and covers the nail better than most glitters.  Doesn't chip easily beautiful color.  Con:  small applicator brush and lack luster bottle.

Overall, these polishes are my favorite colors of this summer.  Every time I wore each of these colors I receive compliments galore!

Try these bright pretty show stopping colors before the summer ends!
